Practical support with PIP, DLA, Carer’s Allowance, and ESA
If you’re living with a health condition or disability, or you’re caring for someone who is, the benefits system can feel overwhelming. The forms are long, the questions are intrusive, and the language is hard to follow. I help you understand what’s being asked, gather the right evidence, and submit your claim with confidence.

How it works
Step 1 — We talk
You tell me what’s happening. We can talk by phone, WhatsApp, or in person. If English isn’t your first language, we can use translation to make sure I understand your situation.
Step 2 — I help you understand
I explain what the DWP is asking for, what the rules mean for you, and what evidence you need to gather. I’ll put it in plain language.
Step 3 — I help you prepare
I help you fill in the forms, write your responses, and gather the documents you need. I help you translate documents if needed. For disability benefits, this often means helping you describe how your condition affects you day to day — in the way the DWP needs to hear it.
Step 4 — You submit
You submit your claim or response yourself. I can help you use the online system if that’s difficult. I can also help you prepare for a medical assessment.
Step 5 — We follow up
If something goes wrong, I help you understand the decision and what you can do next. For complex appeals or tribunals, I refer you to a specialist.
What I cannot do
I am a Welfare Benefits Officer. I am not a regulated immigration adviser.
This means:
- I can help you with your disability and carer benefit forms, evidence, and applications.
- I can help you understand the benefits rules, including the residence tests.
- I cannot advise you on your immigration status or whether your immigration status allows you to claim benefits.
- I cannot advise you on your right to reside or challenge a benefit decision on immigration grounds.
- If your case involves questions about your immigration status, I will refer you to a regulated immigration adviser.
If you are not sure whether your immigration status affects your benefits, you can:
- Check the Citizens Advice guidance on getting benefits if you’ve recently moved to the UK
- Contact a regulated immigration adviser via the Immigration Advice Authority register
- Contact Citizens Advice for free, independent advice
